This doggie sure knows how to pose for the camera! My wife and I were walking to our car after breakfast when we saw this shaunazer in the cargo bay of a pick-up truck. He immediately came to us and, as you see, he loves to be photographed.
Apparently, he was abandoned by his owner, and was found by his new owner in a drain, wet and unkempt. Now he has a new home.

Last post on the cosplay event at Tropicana City Mall …wonder how much these youngsters spent on their costumes and hair-styling?

Ahaha … a bit of promotion for Sony

Not too long ago, I’d the privilege of dining at The Ritz-Carlton … yes, nothing less than fine dining. And below are images of the menu served that evening…

Stoned grilled scallop with Parmigiana cheese on green crispy garden salad with salt flakes and virgin olive oil

Chicken money bag with roasted pumpkin soup

Roasted spring chicken on Valencia cream potato, sauteed young vegetable, au jus

Chocolate, chocolate, chocolate

Coffee or tea?

Frankly, I am too “old” to indulge in cosplaying, haha. But I had a wonderful time taking photos of these cosplayers. Sometimes, we need to escape into another world!

Cosplay is of course highly popular in the Land of the Rising Sun aka Japan. It also has a large following abroad including Malaysia. Had the opportunity to come face to face with some of the Malaysian cosplayers at an event in PJ recently. Below are some photos which I took:

Recently I had a shocking eye-opening experience when I went to change money at one of the money changers in the Mid Valley Megamall. I was attended to by a female employee. The employee had to place the notes into the machine a few time to recount. I sensed it had difficulty detecting a couple of the currency notes. But I couldn’t tell what the problem was. While the LED display was placed on top of the counter, the currency-counting machine was placed as such that customers couldn’t see what was put into it.
Normally, I don’t do a physical count of the notes after the machine shows the correct number of notes. On this occasion, gut feeling told me to do so. And about half way through the counting 100-denomination notes, there were 2 pieces of smaller size 50-denomination notes! I knocked on the glass pane to show the employee and handed the entire bundle to her. She didn’t say anything but quickly replaced the notes. It occurred to me that she knew what had happened. I didn’t make a scene nor insist for an explanation.
If I had left the counter without counting the bundle of currency notes, I would have been short-changed. So, folks do be wary of unscrupulous money-changers.
