007 in Petaling Jaya

As you can see, I did encounter Double O Seven aka 007, ha, ha. But I don’t think Bond would be driving around in this MPV.

A jovial Phobe looking rather upbeat. But what is Vivian eyeing in front of her? Meanwhile, a bemused Hendry looks on, sizing up the situation. Watch this space as the truth is unveiled…another clue tomorrow.

A*L*O*N*E

The current global financial meltdown means nothing to the guy above. Chances are that he has no inkling of the US-originated subprime mortgage crisis resulting in bank failures and closures. A contagion that has since spread across continents and escalated into a global credit crunch crisis, forcing government bail outs of financial institutions in […]

KK’s New Airport Terminal

I recently flew into the spanking new Terminal 1 of the makeover Kota Kinabalu International Airport.  Open mid of August, the new terminal can handle up to 3,200 passengers per hour during peak periods and have 64 check-in counters. It can accommodate 17 aircraft at any one time.

This photo was taken as the plane I was on made its landing approach to the Kota Kinabalu International Airport. Happiness is…

Happiness means different things to different people. Here’s one perception that a friend - with the initials PD - sms-ed to share the following quotation that appears in a magazine:

Being happy doesn’t mean everything is okay. It only means you’ve decided to see things beyond life’s imperfections, whatever happens!
I guess there is truth to […]

Carrefour Diversifies

Did you know know that Carrefour has sort of diversified from its core hypermarket business? Was in PJ’s SS2 township when I chanced upon a newly-open convenience store bearing the Carrefour Express signboard. Will pop in one of these days to check out its product pricing. Let’s see if it lives up to the ‘Mudah […]

Give, Giving, Given

Despite the ballooning cost of living, there are still many Malaysians who will dig into their pockets or wallets to donate to charitable or worthy causes.
I was at a Sunday wet market when I came across a group of St John’s Ambulance members soliciting for donations in conjunction with the organization’s Flag Day. Given […]
