Pets Corner @ Chatuchak Market
Dec 10th, 2009 by Steven
No one can tell exactly the number of stalls in the Chatuchak Weekend Market; some say there are 7,000 to 9,000 while another source puts its at 15,000. Whatever the real figure is, you can shop until you (literally) drop dead. This is the world’s biggest open market.
There are so many stalls selling a while gamut of products and services … I will start with the animal or pet section. Be warn as the follwoing appears in a website: “If you are strict supporter of animal rights etc or if you just do not like to see animals in what is possibly not the most healthy of environments, then you may want to avoid the animal section of the market. There is nothing bad happening it is just that some of the animals look to be in terrible shape and most are not in the best of environments.”

Narrow lanes, low lighting … had to bump up the exposure setting in Photoshop. Some stalls put up “No Photography” signs, so I’d had to be discreet in snapping photos. So I didn’t take as many I’d love.
