Vegetarian Wedding Dinner @ Café de Sky Garden
Nov 7th, 2009 by Steven
It was the first time my wife and I … and for most guests … attended a vegetarian wedding dinner. Phoebe and Kim’s’ wedding wedding reception was held on the 15th day of the lunar 9th moon (full moon) - a day when many Chinese of the Buddhist and Taoist faiths abstained from consuming meat. Being the first for us, it was certainly an experience to remember.
It was a 9 course dinner (including dessert) … Fisa Deriyaki, Jewel Chita, Kam Cham Mushroom Broccoli, Lotus Rice, etc. As far as I know, Restoran Café de Sky Garden, located in PJ’s Taman Petaling Utama, is one of the handful vegetarian restaurants that have the capacity for wedding dinners.
Here are some photos of that memorable night where we got to meet up with ex-colleagues. Wonder whose wedding is next?

Looks like the Four Seasons but it’s not … this is the colourful ‘Six Wishes’ … more auspicious, haha

Susan and Julie gleefully eyeing the Oceanfin being dished out … hmmm, how’s the taste? Like the real thing? Try it yourself, lah.

Looks like the Real Thing … but no sharks were killed for this bowl of soup … the secret ’shark fin’ ingredient came all the way across the ocean from Taiwan

King Prawns they are not but Salad Prata

That’s ex-colleague Richard in full concentration as he pours sparkling juice … plastic corks were flying everywhere as guests popped open the bottles
