In a matter of hours, 31 August 2009 will be eclipsed by 1 September … and for good reason(s) our country’s 52nd Merdeka celebration will go down as the most subdued in its history. Personally, I believe that everything happens for a reason … as amazing as it sounds, it is. Otherwise, events occur as a series of random happenings In time to come, events will unfold that reveals the link and the truth behind it.
Anyway, staff in my office were encouraged to don their traditional attire last Friday as part of our National Day celebration. I was on annual leave and so missed the group photography session. But I dropped by in the afternoon to take a few photos of some colleagues in their colourful costumes.
