Rocket United Cafe @ SS2
Aug 23rd, 2009 by Steven
Rocket United … a football-related cafe? Look at the signboard again … yes, it’s probably the first ‘political’ cafe here. Opened earlier this month, it’s located a few shoplots from the SS2 Maybank branch. I won’t be surprised if more outlets spring up in other parts of the Klang Valley and towns.
Got some favourable blog reviews for its food, but I thought the service was a tad too slow … maybe the staff are new.
Tried their breakfast set (RM6.90) … saw a number of customers eating nasi lemak. DAP members get 10% discount lol.

A large wall-sized photo decorates one side of the cafe … don’t think MCA members will patronize Rocket United, haha

All the staff wear t-shirts with their own numbers - just like a football team

Rocket newsletters on display/sale at the entrance
POSTSCRIPT (21/09/09) - Has anyone spotted a review of this cafe in the main stream newspapers (ie controlled by the BN parties / supporters)? Don’t think … any editor would be out of his/her mind to do so, haha. Across the Causeway, the Straits Times did publish a blog entry Political munchies in Malaysia, lol.
