Wesak: A Day for Reflecting
May 9th, 2009 by Steven
Buddhists throughout the world today celebrate the Birth, Enlightening and Passing of Lord Gautama Buddha. An auspicious day to reflect on the Four Noble Truths:
1. The Noble Truth of Dukkha (sufferings)
2. The Origin or Cause of sufferings
3. The Cessation of sufferings
4. The Path that leads to the cessation of all sufferings.
Not forgetting also the 8 Precepts of Buddhism.
As in previous years, I made it a point to visit the Wat Chetawan Temple in Petaling Jaya.
