NanXiang Mantou Dian @ The Curve
Jan 29th, 2009 by Steven
People say that a visit to Shanghai is not complete without eating siu loong pau (or xiao long bao). And the place is NanXiang Mantou Dian (NanXiang Steamed Bun Restaurant). I’ve never been to Shanghai…not yet anyway.
The 100-year-old NanXiang has an outlet at The Curve in Mutiara Damansara. Blog reviews say the food served is no where near the Real McCoy. However my family came away happy with our recent dining experience here although food presentation is not a strong point to match the restaurant’s glorious link to Shanghai.

The Shanghainese-style Fried Noodle is popular with diners (RM11) - a must try!

YangZhao Fried Rice - another popular item among diners (RM12); there’s another item with XO sauce

CNY Fried Glutinous Rice with XO Sauce (RM14)

Sweet and Sour Pork flavoured with Lychee (RM14)

Braised Cabbage with Ham and Scallop (RM21) - take a look at this photo reproduced from the menu

Sauteed Hong Kong Kai Lan with Chef’s Recipe XO Sauce (RM12) - again poor presentation!
