Idyllic Pantai Balok in Kuantan

Spent the weekend in Kuantan where my organization had its annual dinner (and Family Day). We stayed at the Swiss Garden Resort and Spa in Pantai Balok. It has a beautiful beach fronting the South China Sea. An ideal getaway destination for a family holiday and lovebirds too. It’s not crowded as in Port Dickson.
I was up early on the morning our departure. Couldn’t get any sunrise shots as it was rather cloudy and misty over the horizon. But I was rewarded with the photo above. Just as I thought I would leave the beach without getting a ‘romantic’ photo, this couple came along. They were strolling, holding each other and taking photos with the on-coming waves serenading them gently and washing away their footprints in the sand.
This was taken at about 10am with the much welcome blue sky
