Five-year-old Laveenya having both her hands painted while her sister looks on. It costs RM5 to paint one hand.
Mehendhi (also spelt as mehndhi) is a decorative art where brides have their hands and palms decorated for their weddings. Nowadays, it has become popular and have one’s hands painted for auspicious events, parties or festivals. Even children are doing it.
