KL’s Little India @ Brickfields
Oct 25th, 2008 by Steven
The streets around Brickfields are a riot of colours as the Indian community of Hindu faith prepares to celebrate the Festival of Lights, or Deepavali next Monday. Popularly known as Little India, the festive sights are a delight to photographers. And if you there, the sounds and smells further excite your senses. I had breakfast at a shop along Jalan Tun Sambanthan today, and spent some time exploring the area after that. Here are some photos that I took…
And let me take this opportunity to wish my friends, especially Prema, Hema, Malini, Rao, Kalpana, Nareish, Kuna, Suren, Pushpa, Pregha, Ramasamy (and their families), a Happy (and Spicy) Deepavali.

Flowers in all sorts of colours…green sunflowers too

Bangles…bangles…bangles

You must have a sweet tooth to eat these yummy stuffs

More colours

And more colours

Went inside this narrow shop to take this shot of customers lining up to buy mutton
