Oct 24th, 2008 by Steven
The yearly Kathina ceremony is celebrated at the end of the Rains Retreat (Vassa). It is a celebration of the spirit of giving (dana), of generosity and commitment to support the Sangha. An act that gains great merits for oneself, family members and departed loved ones.
