LUST for LIFE

For my birthday treat, my daughter Kellie suggested having dinner at Izzi in PJ’s Uptown 37. She’d read about the place from food blogs. Izzi, which first opened its Malaysian flagship in the happening place of Bukit Bintang, is another of the ‘imports’ that hail from neighbouring Indonesia. Guess there’ll be more coming to our shore, while our homegrown chains are looking to foreign destinations for expansion.

While some bloggers didn’t give high marks for Izzi, my family found the food (at least those items that we ordered) a delight. In short, it suited our palates and taste. What we particularly like about Izzi’s menu is Italian dining without being overly cheesy.

Izzi - no connection to the iZZi mobile wireless service provider - offers a fusion of Italian and Asian cuisines, e.g. Tom Yam Kung and Chinese Chicken Rice. When we’re there last night, the service was up to mark and fast. BTW, there’s free wifi service too. Just bring along your notebook; there are ample power points.

If you should decide to be a regular diner at Izzi, suggest you enrol as an Izzi Club member…a lot of privileges, especially discount on food items. Also, watch out for the periodical discounts given by credit card companies.

BBQ Chicken Salad - Fresh iceberg lettuce, romaine lettuce, red endive, dice tomato, Mozzarella cheese, dice Chinese radish, corn riblet, crispy tortilla strip, red onion tossed in Izzi ranch dressing topped with BBQ chicken (RM16.80)
