Laughter is the Best Medicine

I Love To Laugh
(from Mary Poppins)
Chorus
We love to laugh
Loud and long and clear
We love to laugh
So ev’rybody can hear
The more you laugh
The more you fill with glee
And the more the glee
The more we’re a merrier we!
Just what the doctor prescribed…Laugh and the world laughs with you. You might live longer. Adults who have a sense of humor outlive those who don’t find life funny, and the survival edge is particularly large for people with cancer, says Sven Svebak of the medical school at Norwegian University of Science and Technology. Past research has shown that humour helps people cope with stress and keep a healthy immune system during stressful times.
Yes, after a long, tired day, laugh your blues away. When things are down and out, laugh your trouble away. And when you are happy, go ahead and give yourself a bout of laughter. Jovial people are happy folks.
Do you know that when you laugh, you’re exercising your facial muscles? Some 53 facial muscles play some part when a person laughs or smiles? I suspect it helps to tone down wrinkles too, ha, ha.
