Making Love In A Plane At 35,000 Feet
Nov 2nd, 2007 by Steven
Those of you who have travelled by air will have a good idea of the size of the cubicle in an aircraft lavatory. Now imagine a couple making out inside that tiny cubicle. Possible? Difficult? Impossible?

Well, nothing is impossible. Before man landed on the moon, no one could have imagined that it could be done. And Qantas stewardess Lisa Robertson did prove that it’s possible to make love within the confined space of an aircraft lavatory, up in the sky at 35,000ft.
The 38-year-old Australian stewardess had shared a 15-minute passionate tryst with British actor Ralph Fiennes in the business-class lavatory on Flight QF123 from Darwin to Bombay in January 2007. Ralph, who appeared in The English Patient, was seated in business class seat 2K for the 9-hour flight.

When rumours first circulated that the 44-year-old actor had become a ‘Five Mile High Club’ member, Lisa denied the allegation. But later, she admitted that they shared more than the 15-minute airborne fling, they had a passionate night in a Mumbai hotel. The attraction had been immediate and overwhelming from the moment they first made eye contact.

Note: A Boeing 747 commercial aircraft cruises at 28,000–35,000ft (8,534–10,668m) depending on the plane’s total weight. (28,000ft is about 5 miles.)
