Buka Puasa at KL Hilton
Sep 26th, 2007 by Steven
It’s now the 9th month of the Muslim calendar, and Muslims throughout the globe are observing the Fast of Ramadan. It’s a time for spiritual reflection and prayer. It’s also a time for doing good deeds, and strengthening family and community ties. As such it’s common for Muslims to ‘buka puasa’ (break fast) not only with family members but also with fellow Muslim families and with non-Muslim friends.
Recently my organization held a Buka Puasa gathering at KL Hilton. It was a yummy buffet spread – there was so much food but my stomach was ‘too small’ to sample every item. Come to think of it, it was humanly impossible to try all the food, unless one goes for extremely small bites.
The photos posted here show only a small portion of the scrumptious spread that the chefs had prepared. BTW if you should dine at the KL Hilton, do make room for the ‘home made’ ice cream - eat it neat or top it over the ABC (ais kacang).
