May Wan needs no introduction; she’s the twin sister of Choy Wan. Both are celebrity models and TV hosts. Daniel was the Best Male Model at the KL Fashion Week 2005, and he has branched out to TV hosting and being a brand personality.

StarCeleb is described as an exciting reality show that would set a path for contestants on the road to stardom. It’s a search for 2 talented individuals to become star celebrities to take on multiple roles as TV show hosts, brand ambassadors and professional models. Apart from the 1-year hosting and modelling contract, each will also receive RM25,000 in prize money.

Sixty contestants, drawn from auditions held in KL, will feature in the elimination rounds. They’ll participate in road shows, magazine shoots, hosting gigs, and even write blogs, before the 2 finalists take on each other in the finale.

Was at 1 Utama yesterday evening when I came upon a live recording of the show, with contestants going through a dance competition. Actually, it was my son, Greg, who suggested having dinner here as he wanted to take photos for his blog.

In each episode, contestants are tested on their charm, personality, talents, style, communication skills and mental capabilities.
