Spotlight From Heaven
Jun 25th, 2007 by Steven
I always hope for good weather whenever I go on a photography trip. It can spell the difference between getting good shots and washed-out photos. Luck sometimes plays a part too. Take this photo, for example, which was taken in Kota Kinabalu. I had been shooting countless shots of passing boats during a hot sunny afternoon. Then out of the blue, some low, dark patches of clouds magically appeared. A battle royale between the celestial sun and heavenly clouds erupted. The sun tried hard to penetrate the clouds which had blocked much of its rays. At times when the sun had the upper hand, it produced a spotlight effect on the surface of the sea. It was one of the most stunning sights I had ever seen. There and then, a sense of visual ecstasy engulfed me.
