Homer J Simpson ‘Kidnapped’

Oh my gosh, did you read today’s New Straits Times? Someone’s kidnapped Homer Simpson right in
front of his family. So far, there’s no demand from the kidnappers for ransom money. D’oh! Who would do such a dastardly thing? Why?
Actually, Homer has not been kidnapped. However, he’s gone missing. The NST report says that the 1.2 metre fiberglass figurine of Homer, seated on a couch in a mutiplex lobby at the suburban 1 Utama Shopping Complex in Petaling Jaya, had been stolen. The theft happened last Monday morning after the late night movie screening. CCTV cameras show at least 2 persons were involved. As you can see from the news cutting, Twentieth Century Fox even offerred a RM1.000 reward for Homer’s safe return.
Anyway, the good news is that Homer will soon be reunited with his loved ones, Marge, Bart, Lisa and Maggie. Today’s late breaking news says that police have tracked down 2 college students responsible for the theft. They were described as over-exuberant fans of The Simpsons.
The Simpsons movie is set to premiere in Malaysia on July 26.
In the mean time, here’s a somewhat satirical quote by Homer: “A pregnant virgin? Ohh! That’s every man’s worse nightmare!”
